Portsmouth Aviation holds some of the most advanced analytical hardware and software in the manufacturing and defence industry, allowing us to offer you assistance throughout the entire lifecycle of a product.
Our technical services division is able to provide state-of-the-art solutions to the concept and design phases of any product. Capabilities include stress and aerodynamic analysis with extensive use of ANSYS® software for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Our design solutions include CAD and Solid Edge and we hold our own portable and industrial CMM machines.

Quality testing services
At Portsmouth Aviation we know that every stage of the manufacturing process is as important as the next and so we strive to meet the needs of customers at any stage of a project.
With a comprehensive range of test facilities available we are able to offer a collection of quality testing services that extend beyond the design and manufacturing processes.
Whether you wish to test the limits of a product; want to check for flaws; or need precise, inclusive measurements; Portsmouth Aviation can help.
Our Non-Destructive Testing facilities enable us to analyse component parts without causing any damage to the product. We also have a Structural Test House with capabilities of up to 30 tonne compression or tension loads and an environmental test chamber, which enables our experts to put your product through its paces through a temperature range of -65 to +80 degrees.
We hold our own portable and industrial CMM machines which we can use immediately after manufacture or once a product is in situ.
