February 2011 sees the return of International Defence and Exhibition Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi and, as always, Portsmouth Aviation (PA) will be there to meet with other defence experts from around the globe.
It will be the third time that PA have attended this bi-annual event and company representatives are keen to return to see how far IDEX has progressed.
“IDEX has emerged as a leading industry event in the Middle East and already attracts some of the most important Defence companies from all over the world. It has grown significantly each time we‘ve attended, and the opportunity to promote PA as well as renew acquaintances has increased considerably with each event.” explains Martin White, Operations Director of Portsmouth Aviation.
Portsmouth Aviation, exhibiting in the main arena at the event, will be demonstrating the HDT shelter system with collective protection and an environmental control system. This will be shown in two modes, command / control and medical. There will also be experts on hand to provide information about PA’s CBRN capability across navy and land forces, data loggers, Paveway 4 and practice bombs.

The conference, which will be the 10th IDEX, takes place between Sunday 20th - Thursday 24th February and is held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Following the success of the 2009 IDEX, which welcomed 50,000 people from around the world, show organisers predict that 2011 is set to be the biggest conference yet.
